For writers, artists, and makers who’ve grown disconnected from their creative source

You’ve felt it.

That moment when something lights up inside you and everything is electric. Ideas click. Inspiration flows. You’re tapped into something larger than yourself.

And then it’s gone.

You were told that a Muse is a tyrant. That you must suffer for your art.

The Ancients knew better.

There is another way

A Living Encounter with

Your Muse

This is not a metaphor. Chrysalis treats the Muses as living beings you meet and form a relationship with through invocation and ritual.

Silhouettes of Greek muses in flowing dresses holding music stands, with one woman playing a flute, set against a warm, sunset-lit background with trees and an old stone structure, possibly ruins.

The Story Behind Chrysalis

Hi, I’m Adriana. I’m a writer, graphic designer, and event planner, and Chrysalis Creative Retreat grew out of all three pursuits. I’ve long been fascinated by ritual and mythology, but I didn’t start working with the Greek Muses until a brutal stretch of writer’s block hit while I was on a deadline.

I found myself wondering: why not go back to the source?

Why not explore the original cure for creative block?

I started with simple prayers and invocations drawn from the historical record, and the response blew my mind. Inspiration didn’t come instantly, but when it did, it hit with an almost physical force.

I went down a rabbit hole, learning everything I could about the Muses. Humans have been approaching them for guidance and inspiration for thousands of years.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

When you connect with them, they answer.

I also came to realize something else: solitary inspiration has its virtues, but it amplifies in shared space. Inspiration becomes contagious.

Magic happens when we step outside ordinary life to come together around shared feasts and ritual fires.
